Supervising of molecular breeding unit. My main work focus on marker assisted breeding for abiotic, biotic stresses and quality traits in sugar crops (sugarcane, sugar beet and sweet sorghum) and related crops (stevia and other sweeteners). As member of breeding & genetic department, I have good experience in dealing with breeding program and large scale germplasm enhancement of tropical plant like sugar crops (sugarcane and sweet sorghum) and sugarbeet , responsible for initiation, design, development, execution and implementation of scientific research projects in collaboration with others Identification of plant and genetic resources critical to SCRI and support of their onsite and offsite conservation, development of improved methods and strategies for procuring and maintaining genetic resources and facilitation of training and dissemination of information concerning genetic resources conservation by means of workshops, classes, seminars, conferences, publications, and other outreach activities. I have substantial knowledge of genetics, molecular breeding, quantitative genetic and molecular genetic with strong background in plant breeding, biochemistry and tissue culture techniques; and gained good experiences in dealing with DNA and protein techniques. Able to use own initiative and work as part of a team. Proven leadership skills, including managing and motivating other staff to achieve organization objectives. Good dealing with chemicals and instruments. Have good computer skills.
